FAQ

Do I need a prescription for Physical Therapy?

No. New York State allows you to have physical therapy for 10 visits or one month. A continuation of PT services beyond this will require a prescription from a physician.

What should I expect on the first visit?

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out paperwork. Bring any test results that you may have along with an updated prescription for physical therapy. Wear or bring comfortable, loose fitting clothing for the evaluation.

How long is each treatment session?

The initial evaluation is 60 minutes. Subsequent one-on-one sessions are approximately 30-45 minutes with the same physical therapist.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

A 24-hour cancellation fee for missed or cancelled appointments will be charged and cannot be reimbursed by insurance.

What insurances do you accept?

We accept Medicare and are out-of-network providers with all other insurance companies. This is as a result of many insurance carriers not providing adequate reimbursement in-network for our type of quality care.
